Provincial Education Minister orders immediate supply of textbooks in Quetta schools

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Provincial education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani on Friday has taken serious notice of the shortage of textbooks in government schools across Quetta and directed officials to ensure immediate distribution. She emphasized that all public educational institutions in the provincial capital must receive the required textbooks within two days to prevent disruption in students’ learning.

The minister issued strict instructions to the Chairman of the Balochistan Textbook board, Dr. Gulab Khan Khilji, the Director of Schools and other relevant officers to mobilize all available resources and expedite the delivery process, said a news release.

She warned that negligence or delays at any level would not be tolerated.

In response, Dr. Gulab Khilji conducted an emergency visit to the government textbook store in Quetta. During the inspection, he instructed staff to complete the distribution of textbooks to all government schools within the two-day deadline. He reiterated that any lapse in this process would be unacceptable.
