PSCA completes recruitment of communication officers, begins professional training

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has successfully completed the recruitment process of new Police Communication Officers and formally commenced their professional training, a spokesperson said on Friday.

According to the spokesperson, the recruitment process was conducted purely on merit and transparency, with candidates undergoing multiple stages including written tests and interviews. In the first phase, a total of 247 officers were selected under open merit, women quota and minority quota.

The newly recruited officers expressed their commitment to becoming part of the Safe City system based on modern technology and artificial intelligence.

An introductory session was also held with senior officials, including the managing director and chief operating officer, where the officers were briefed on the organisation’s operational system, responsibilities and modern working methods.

The spokesperson said that upon completion of training, the officers would be deployed at key units including the Operations and Monitoring Center and Emergency-15 Center to ensure timely and effective services to citizens.

The officers said they felt proud to be part of this technologically advanced project and would work with dedication to assist police in ensuring safety of the city.

The spokesperson added that PSCA remained committed to inducting skilled human resources through a transparent and merit-based system, while utilising modern technology to further enhance public safety.
