PSCA surveillance leads to arrest of two-member motorcycle theft gang

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has facilitated the swift arrest of a two-member gang involved in multiple motorcycle theft and snatching incidents in Harbanspura through its advanced smart surveillance and virtual patrolling system.

According to a spokesperson for PSCA, a Virtual Patrolling Officer identified a stolen motorcycle through Safe City smart cameras during routine monitoring. The suspects’ movements were continuously tracked across different locations using the authority’s state-of-the-art surveillance infrastructure.

The spokesperson said the PSCA Operations Team collected digital evidence from multiple points and traced the suspects, after which all relevant evidence was shared with Ghaziabad Police.

Acting promptly on the information, the police conducted a targeted operation and arrested the accused individuals.

The spokesperson added that the effective use of modern camera networks and advanced technology was significantly enhancing the capacity to swiftly identify and track criminal elements across the provincial capital.

The spokesperson further stated that PSCA remained committed to utilizing cutting-edge technology to ensure protection of citizens’ lives and property.
