PSX stays bullish, gains over 3,683 points

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the pakistan stock exchange (PSX) continued with bullish trend on Thursday, gaining 3,683.02 points, a positive change of 2.23 percent, closing at 168,514.45 points against 164,831.42 points on the last trading day, according to psx data.

During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 729.400 million shares with a traded value of Rs 34.992 billion, compared to 386.394 million shares valuing Rs 20.125 billion in the previous session. The market capitalization increased to Rs 18.661 trillion from Rs 18.243 trillion a day earlier.

Out of 490 active companies in the ready market, 330 advanced, 120 declined, and 40 remained unchanged.

Hascol Petroleum topped the volume chart with 57.

001 million shares, followed by Sitara Petroleum with 56.524 million shares and Aisha Steel Mills with 31.042 million shares.

The top gainers included PIA Holding Company LimitedB, which increased by Rs 524.50 to close at Rs 18,300.00, and Khairpur Sugar Mills Limited, which gained Rs 191.72 to settle at Rs 2,108.92.

On the losing side, JDW Sugar Mills Limited declined by Rs 14.21 to close at Rs 900.66, while Hoechst Pakistan Limited fell by Rs 11.54 to close at Rs 4,010.00.

In the futures market, turnover stood at 309.502 million shares with a traded value of Rs 14.410 billion, compared to 312.777 million shares worth Rs 11.311 billion in the previous session.

Out of 318 futures-market companies, 288 recorded gains while 24 declined and 6 remained unchanged, according to PSX data.
