ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the pakistan stock exchange (PSX) turned around dto bullish trend on Friday, gaining 1,673.87 points, a positive change of 1.01 percent, closing at 167,191.38 points against 165,517.51 points on the last trading day, according to psx data.
During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 875.538 million shares with a traded value of Rs 46.648 billion, compared to 888.566 million shares valuing Rs 54.281 billion in the previous session. The market capitalization increased to Rs 18.473 trillion from Rs 18.264 trillion a day earlier.
Out of 487 active companies in the ready market, 358 advanced, 101 declined, and 28 remained unchanged.
Bank of Punjab topped the volume chart with 61.154 million shares, followed by WorldCall Telecom with 56.
950 million shares and Sui South Gas with 56.498 million shares.
The top gainers included Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited, which increased by Rs 679.45 to close at Rs 26,500.00, and PIA Holding Company LimitedB, which gained Rs 188.49 to settle at Rs 18,203.54.
On the losing side, Service Industries Limited declined by Rs 108.74 to close at Rs 1,411.26, while Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering fell by Rs 26.86 to close at Rs 1,520.10.
In the futures market, turnover stood at 205.955 million shares with a traded value of Rs 10.579 billion, compared to 165.510 million shares worth Rs 11.940 billion in the previous session.
Out of 314 futures-market companies, 277 recorded gains while 33 declined and 4 remained unchanged, according to PSX data.
