Public complaints must be resolved on priority: Commissioner Hazara

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Hazara Division, Fayaz Ali Shah, on Tuesday directed all Deputy Commissioners and departmental heads to resolve public complaints on a priority basis, as he presided over an e-Khuli Kachehri held at the Commissioner Office Abbottabad.

The deputy commissioners from across the division joined the session online, while Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram and heads of various line departments attended in person.

During the e-Khuli Kachehri, the commissioner reviewed complaints, suggestions, and feedback from the public regarding different departments and also listened to live calls from citizens. He addressed several complaints on the spot and issued necessary instructions to the concerned authorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Fayaz Ali Shah said that the main objective of the e-Khuli Kachehri is to directly understand public issues and ensure their immediate resolution. He emphasized that the Commissioner’s Office remains open to the public at all times and citizens can present their concerns without hesitation.

According to officials, most complaints received during the session were related to prices of essential commodities, sanitation, encroachments, implementation of rent agreements, and traffic issues.

The commissioner also highlighted the administration’s responsibility to provide better facilities to tourists and warned that strict legal action would be taken against violations of traffic laws.

He further stated that transport fares would be strictly monitored during Eid-ul-Fitr, and action would be taken against those involved in overcharging.

The commissioner directed that all complaints received during the session be forwarded to the relevant departments and that complainants be kept informed about the progress. He also instructed deputy commissioners to ensure that all grievances are addressed in accordance with the law to safeguard citizens’ fundamental rights.
