Public relief tops agenda as AJK govt steps up efforts: Adviser Zahid Mughal

MIRPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) Adviser to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Zahid Mughal, has said the government is taking practical steps to meet public expectations, with provision of relief to citizens placed at the top of its priorities.

Speaking at a dinner hosted by former Municipal Corporation Administrator Haji Ghulam Rasool Awami on Sunday, Mughal emphasized that his party’s strength lies in its people-centric approach. He noted that the leadership has always relied on public support as the cornerstone of its political success.

The adviser, who also serves as Central Secretary Information of the Pakistan Peoples Party (United Kingdom chapter), said the party remains committed to addressing public issues and serving the common man.

He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, the party would secure a decisive victory in the upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The event, attended by prominent political, social, and business figures, was described by participants as a valuable opportunity to strengthen mutual engagement. Mughal added that party workers remain united and actively connected with the public, which he termed the party’s greatest asset.
