While speaking exclusively to ptv news, Director General said that, under the directives of the Chief Minister Punjab, the health system has been placed on emergency footing for the upcoming monsoon and flood season.

He said that cushion stocks and arrangements are kept every year, and this time as well they are already in place in greater quantity than before.

He added that awareness drives have been launched through social media and electronic platforms, while coordination with all relevant authorities is ongoing.

DG said field teams are active, staff and medicines are being ensured at all health facilities, and continuous coordination meetings are being held to strengthen preparedness on a daily basis.

He also advised citizens not to ignore symptoms such as fever, skin rashes, or diarrhea as normal, and urged them to seek proper medical tests and maintain clean surroundings to prevent the spread.
