Punjab's 'Sanjhi Sabzi initiative' underway in Vehari

BUREWALA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) The Punjab government's "Sanjhi Sabzi Initiative", launched under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is being implemented in Vehari district, where vegetables have been cultivated on one acre of land in Chak No. 83/WB.

The plantation has been completed under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Vehari Anam Akram, who said the vegetables would be distributed free of cost among the local community, particularly deserving and low-income families, once the crop is ready.

She said the initiative aims to provide fresh vegetables to vulnerable households and added that similar public welfare projects would continue in line with the chief minister's vision.
