RAJANPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jun, 2026) Rural Community Development, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, organized a seminar to promote environmental protection and cleanliness in society.
The event was attended by Assistant Director Social Welfare Sanaullah, DEO Literacy Abu Bakar Shah, Supervisor Social Welfare Department Athar Saleem, notable social figure Mehmood-ul-Haq, and representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society.
Addressing the participants, the speakers highlighted the importance of World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5 since 1974. They emphasized that environment-friendly policies, tree plantation, clean energy initiatives, and collective efforts to control pollution are the need of the hour.

They noted that environmental protection and cleanliness campaigns, supported by extensive tree plantation drives in urban and rural areas, are contributing positively to a healthier environment.

The seminar concluded with a prayer and a pledge to raise awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable development throughout the country.
