Rawalpindi rally marks ‘Marka-e-Haq’ anniversary

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) The Rawalpindi Restaurant Caterers, Sweet and Bakers Association, in collaboration with the trader community and district administration, organised a rally on Thursday to express solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces and mark the first anniversary of the “Marka-e-Haq” success.

The procession, attended by traders, business leaders and representatives of various associations, started from Rawalpindi food Street and concluded at Double Road.

Participants carried national flags, banners and placards bearing slogans of patriotism and unity, while chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” echoed during the rally.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Maliha Sehr, Deputy Director Environment, Rawalpindi, Sadia Batool, Senior Vice President Zahid Mehmood, and other officials were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Association President Muhammad Farooq Chaudhry said the armed forces had made unparalleled sacrifices for the country’s security, sovereignty and peace, adding that the success of “Marka-e-Haq” reflected national resolve, unity and professional excellence.

Chairman Mumtaz Ahmed and other speakers paid tribute to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying the armed forces had effectively countered challenges facing the country.

Speakers said the armed forces ensured national security, enabling economic and business activity, and added that the trader community had consistently stood alongside them in difficult times.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to national unity and expressed readiness to make sacrifices in the national interest if required.

Special prayers were offered at the end of the rally for the country’s security, progress and prosperity.
