RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The standing committee of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Gems and Jewellery met on Thursday to discuss challenges facing the sector and explore its export potential.
The meeting, held at the Chamber Building, was chaired by RCCI President Usman Shaukat, while Chairman Standing Committee Ghulam Mustafa also attended. Participants highlighted key issues affecting the sector, said a press release.
RCCI President Usman Shaukat assured participants that the chamber would take up the issues with relevant authorities to facilitate ease of doing business.
Group Leader Sohail Altaf appreciated the efforts of the committee chairman for ensuring active participation and acknowledged the input shared by members.
Senior Vice President Qazi Farooq, Vice President Fahad Barlas and Vice Chairman Ziaullah Shah were present on the occasion.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to formulate practical recommendations to enhance exports and improve regulatory mechanisms for the sector.
