LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Under the enrollment drive launched by the Government of Sindh's Education and Literacy Department, titled "Reading Sindh, Growing Sindh," a rally was organized at Government Main Girls High School Qambar to promote educational awareness here on Friday.
The rally was led by the Director of Schools, Region Larkana, Professor Allah Bux Soomro. The event aimed to increase student enrollment and raise awareness about the importance of education. The ceremony was attended by female teachers and schoolgirls, as well as officials from the education department, including Director of Schools, Larkana Region, Allah Bux Soomro, Deputy DEOs Bashir Ahmed Chandio and Ahmed Saeed Kalhoro, Headmistress Madam Samina Shaheen Sandano and Ijaz Hussain Tunio.
On this occasion, outstanding female students who demonstrated excellent performance during the academic year 2025-26 were encouraged. Among them, those who secured first, second, and third positions were awarded honorary shields and cash prizes.
Furthermore, free textbooks were distributed among the students. On this occasion, the senior officials stated that the country's development depends on education, and therefore, enrolling every child in school is a critical need of the time.
They said that parents, teachers, and every individual in society must play a collective role so that no child remains deprived of education. They further stated that the aim of the government's enrollment drive is to bring out-of-school children into the fold of education, and special steps are being taken in this regard. They instructed teachers to go door-to-door and inform parents about the importance of education. The participants in the ceremony expressed their determination to make every possible effort to ensure the success of the enrollment drive and to enroll the maximum number of children from their areas in schools, so that every poor child can receive an education.
