Reforms in Social Welfare dept to be accelerated: Minister Shaukat

Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Sohail Shaukat Butt has said that reforms in the Social Welfare department will be accelerated in line with modern requirements

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Sohail Shaukat Butt has said that reforms in the Social Welfare department will be accelerated in line with modern requirements.

The minister chaired an important meeting of the Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal department on Thursday. The meeting was attended by the Social Welfare Director General Dr. Shehnshah Faisal Azeem, along with other officials.

During the meeting, a detailed review of the department’s ongoing programs was conducted and the provincial minister was briefed on collaboration and cooperation with international organizations.

Instructions were also issued to further enhance working relations with international organizations engaged in services for women, children and persons with disabilities.

The provincial minister directed that a focal person be appointed to improve coordination with international partners and that all communication and operations be digitized.

Sohail Shaukat Butt stated that cooperation with international organizations would be further expanded.
