Regional Director DEPD Hyderabad Visits NDF Rehabilitation Centre Qasimabad

Imtiaz Ahmed, Regional Director, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Hyderabad, visited the NDF Rehabilitation Centre Qasimabad, Hyderabad, to review the services being provided for children with intellectual disabilities

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Imtiaz Ahmed, Regional Director, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Hyderabad, visited the NDF Rehabilitation Centre Qasimabad, Hyderabad, to review the services being provided for children with intellectual disabilities.

During the visit, Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed appreciated the dedicated efforts of the NDF team in providing rehabilitation services and support to children with intellectual disabilities in Hyderabad. He acknowledged the importance of such initiatives in promoting inclusion, care, and development opportunities for children with disabilities.

Earlier, Mr. Tariq Hussain Channar, Program Manager of NDF, briefed the Regional Director about the centre’s services and ongoing efforts. He shared details of the rehabilitation support being provided, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, remedial support, and other services aimed at improving the quality of life of children with disabilities and their families.

The visit reflected the commitment of both DEPD and NDF to strengthening rehabilitation services and ensuring better access to quality support for children with disabilities in Hyderabad.
