CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2026) Religious scholars on Monday strongly condemned the recent attack on a police post in Bannu, describing the martyrdom of 20 personnel as a “national tragedy” and calling for decisive action against terrorism across the country.
The remarks were made by Maulana Qari Shabbir Ahmed Usmani, founder of the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Islamic Center Chenab Nagar and Patron-in-Chief of Khuddam Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Pakistan, and Maulana Sahibzada Allama Muhammad Qadri, during a joint statement issued in Chiniot.
The scholars said those involved in the killing of innocent people “do not represent islam or Pakistan,” adding that terrorism and its facilitators should be eliminated with firm state action. They stressed that militants were attempting to destabilize the country, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, and urged authorities to adopt a clear and effective counterterrorism strategy.
