Rescue 1122 makes special arrangements for emergency-related incidents during Eid

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Punjab on Wednesday said it had made special arrangements across the province to provide emergency rescue and medical cover during Eid-ul-Azha.

According to a spokesperson, more than 12,000 rescuers remained on duty across Punjab during Eid days,while 896 ambulances,2,300 rescue motorbikes and 316 fire vehicles were deployed at key locations.

The spokesperson said special rescue teams were stationed at major Eid congregations while dedicated posts were also established near Eidgahs to ensure prompt response to emergencies.

He added that rescue motorbikes were deployed in congested urban areas to ensure rapid access in case of incidents, while water rescue teams were also kept on standby for emergencies during the Eid holidays.

The Provincial Emergency Operation Center monitored all rescue operations across Punjab round the clock while routine emergency services continued alongside Eid-specific arrangements.

Citizens were advised to contact Rescue Helpline 1122 in case of any emergency.
