PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Sanaullah Khan on Wednesday said challenges faced by Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar in revenue collection would be resolved on a priority basis.
He expressed these views while chairing an important meeting held here. The meeting was attended by Director General Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar Qadeer Naseer, Deputy Director Estate Management, Kamran Amjad, Director Finance, Ijaz Sarwar, Assistant Director Admin Khudai Nazar and other relevant officials.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the assets of the Capital Metropolitan Government, existing sources of revenue, recovery status and the challenges being faced. The performance of officers was also reviewed, and new proposals were presented to enhance revenue.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that coordinated and effective measures would be taken to resolve financial issues and to make the institution self-sufficient.
He added that better utilization of government properties, digitalization of records and implementation of a transparent system would increase revenue and minimize corruption.
He further stated that available resources would be used efficiently to provide better services to citizens. Public interest, he said, would remain the top priority and all necessary measures would be to ensure transparency and merit.
The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned authorities to fully utilize all revenue sources, take legal action against defaulters and develop a comprehensive system to ensure sustainable revenue growth in the future.
He also stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation among officers and urged them to work collectively for institutional improvement and to transform the Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar into a strong and effective organization.
