MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Muzaffargarh police have arrested a five-member gang, known as the “Sohiya Gang”, involved in a series of robberies and livestock thefts. Authorities recovered cash, stolen animals, and a vehicle used in criminal activities during the operation.
According to police officials, under the directives of District Police Officer Kot Addu Mansoor Qamar, THQ Saddar Sarwar Shaheed Police, led by SHO Malik Nadeem Haider, conducted a coordinated raid and apprehended the suspects. The operation resulted in the recovery of PKR 250,000 in cash, a foreign breed cow worth PKR 500,000, and a stolen vehicle used in the thefts.
Police said the gang used to steal livestock during the night across Kot Addu District. Following the instructions of SDPO Sarwar Shaheed, Naeem Ahmed Burmani, the stolen property was recovered from the accused and returned to the rightful owners.
Further investigations are ongoing, and police are examining other livestock theft cases across the district linked to the gang. Authorities have confirmed that more arrests may follow as the probe continues.
