Stolen van recovered, suspected lifter held in prompt police action

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The Dera police carried out a successful operation in Paharpur, recovering a stolen Hiace van and arresting a suspect within days after the incident.

According to police spokesman, a team of Paharpur police station led by SHO Khalid Javed Lashari, conducted an operation that resulted in the recovery of the vehicle stolen from the jurisdiction of Cantt Police Station.

The arrested suspect has been identified as Muhammad Munir, son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Daraban. The stolen van bearing registration number (BRA-095) was recovered from his possession.

The suspect has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.

Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Paharpur Circle Hafiz Muhammad Adnan reaffirmed the police’s commitment to continuing indiscriminate action against criminal elements and ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
