Robbers loot 40 tolas of gold, cash

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) A robbery took place in a house in Kahna area here on Thursday where two armed robbers held the family hostage and looted cash and gold worth lakhs of rupees and escaped.

According to the police, a case has been registered and investigations are underway from various angles to find the accused.

According to the text of the FIR, two armed robbers entered the house of a citizen and took the family hostage at gunpoint.

The robbers locked all the members of the house in a room and kept searching the cupboards of the house.

According to the case, the accused looted about 40 tolas of gold and Rs 2 lakh in cash from the house. After completing the incident, both the robbers escaped on a motorcycle.

Police say evidence has been collected from the scene and efforts are being made to identify the suspects with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the area.
