Role of C&W essential for development & prosperity of Balochistan: Babar Khan

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) Babar Khan on Tuesday said that the role of the Communications and Works Department is very important in the development and prosperity of the province.

He said that the improvement of infrastructure in the province and sustainable development depend on the effective performance of the department.

Secretary Babar Khan expressed these views while chairing a review meeting on the progress of ongoing strategic projects in the province.

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers and District Executive Engineers of all six zones via Zoom.

During the meeting, engineers from different districts gave a detailed briefing on the progress of ongoing strategic projects in their respective areas and informed about the financial and technical issues facing the projects.

Secretary Communications and Works directed that no kind of slowness would be tolerated in the completion of important projects.

He said that time is short and challenges are high, so all engineers should ensure that timely completion of projects remains the top priority of the department.

He further ordered that all technical issues being faced by the projects should be resolved immediately, while development works should be carried out, there should be no compromise on quality.

Babar Khan directed the Chief Engineers and SEs to visit the projects themselves regularly and submit progress reports every two weeks, these reports should also include the identification of technical issues so that the pace of the projects is not affected and the work continues without interruption.
