RPO holds meeting regarding Muharam security

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Shahzad Asif Khan has said that regarding security

arrangements during Muharram, foolproof security arrangements should be made for

Imambargahs and processions across the region.

Attending a meeting regarding Muharam security with the DPOs of the division through

video link, he said that the processions and gatherings will be held only at specified times

and as per permission.

Special attention should be paid to sensitive places and installations, markets and crowded places

and a complete inspection of all routes of big processions and adjacent areas should be carried out.

The deputy commissioners, district police officers and relevant officers of all four districts were also

present in the meeting via video link .

He said that arrangements should be made for smooth flow of traffic around the processions

and gatherings.

The RPO said that parking arrangements should be made at a distance of at least 500 yards

from Imambargahs and gatherings.
