RPO reviews security at PTS DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ghulam Mubashir Mekan, visited the Police Training School (PTS) Dera on Friday, where he inaugurated the institution's newly constructed main gate and reviewed its overall security arrangements.

On this occasion, a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour to the RPO.

As part of the Green and Prosperous Pakistan campaign, the RPO also planted a sapling within the training school's premises.

During the visit, RPO Mekan conducted a detailed inspection of the school's security measures and directed officers to maintain a high state of alert while further strengthening surveillance of both the internal and external areas of the campus.

He stressed that there would be no compromise on the security of the training institution or its recruits.

The RPO later inspected the administration block and classrooms, where he reviewed the standard of professional training being imparted to police recruits.

Appreciating the quality of instruction, he emphasized the need to ensure comprehensive physical and mental training to prepare personnel for the evolving challenges of modern policing.

Police Training School Director Attaullah and SP Headquarters Jalil Imran accompanied the RPO during the visit. The officials also briefed him on the ongoing training courses and administrative affairs of the institution.
