DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ghulam Mubashir Maken has pledged concrete steps to address the concerns of the traders’ community and further strengthen peace in the region, reaffirming the police’s commitment to public safety and stability.
He expressed these views during a meeting with representatives of the traders’ bodies here at Ejaz Shaheed Police Lines, where District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed and SP City Nauman Khan were also present.
During the meeting, traders highlighted rising incidents of crime in the city, the need for action against elements involved in usury, and called for a crackdown on drug dealers and professional beggars. The traffic-related issues affecting daily business activities were also discussed.
Responding to the concerns, the RPO issued immediate directives to senior officers to ensure prompt resolution. He emphasized that maintaining law and order remains a top priority and can be achieved through coordinated efforts between police, security forces, and the public.
Maken also paid tribute to the sacrifices of police personnel, noting their continued efforts in safeguarding the region despite significant challenges. He said the commitment and morale of the force remain strong, as observed during his visits to various police stations and checkpoints.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the traders’ community appreciated the police efforts and reiterated their support for initiatives aimed at ensuring lasting peace in the area.
