SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) A development project worth Rs 87 million has been launched for the repair and expansion
of Govt Girls College (GGC) Bhalwal, with the tender process already initiated under the
supervision of district authorities.
Executive Engineer Buildings Sargodha, Badr Sultan said here on Thursday, the funds
were secured on the recommendation of Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmed
Raza Chaudhry, with special support from Advisor to the Prime Minister on Health
Dr Mukhtar Bharth and Provincial Minister for Communications Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth.
The project includes renovation of main academic building, reconstruction of the boundary
wall, rebuilding of a dilapidated and unsafe water tank, and repair of the college hostel.
Officials stated the work would be carried out on a priority basis to provide students
with a safer and improved educational environment.
The XEN Buildings further revealed that, on the direction of deputy commissioner,
estimates for Phase-II of the project have also been prepared. “Recommendations
have been forwarded to the Punjab government to include the next phase in the
upcoming Annual Development Programme”, he added.
