RTA enforces mandatory display of official fare lists in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has made it mandatory for all passenger vehicles to prominently display the officially approved fare list on their front windshields to ensure transparency and protect commuters from overcharging.

According to Secretary RTA Dera Shaukat Iqbal, the directive aims to effectively enforce government-notified fares and raise public awareness about the approved rates.

He emphasized that passengers should have clear visibility of fares to avoid any confusion or exploitation.

In this regard, the RTA monitoring teams have been deployed to conduct regular inspections on various highways and at bus terminals to ensure strict compliance with the directive.

The authorities have warned that strict legal action would be taken against vehicles found without a displayed fare list, including the imposition of fines. Charging fares above the officially approved rates will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The passengers have also been urged to pay fares strictly according to the official list and report any violations to the Secretary RTA without delay.
