Saudi health ministry warns pilgrims against sharing shaving tools during Hajj rituals

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Ministry of Health has urged pilgrims not to share shaving tools during Tahallul rituals to prevent infections and protect personal health during Hajj 1447 AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry advised pilgrims to strictly follow preventive health guidelines while performing Hajj rituals, especially during hair shaving and trimming after the stoning ritual in Mina.

The pilgrims were encouraged to use personal shaving tools and avoid exchanging razors or other personal items with others to reduce the risk of infection transmission.

SPA told APP that the ministry also stressed upon the importance of carrying umbrellas, drinking water regularly and avoiding direct exposure to sunlight during peak daytime temperatures.

Authorities further advised pilgrims to wear face masks in crowded areas and maintain personal hygiene throughout the Hajj journey.

Saudi health authorities continue implementing awareness campaigns and preventive measures across the holy sites to help pilgrims perform rituals safely and comfortably.
