SDEO inspects schools in Paharpur, directs improvements in facilities

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Sub-Divisional Education Officer (Male) Paharpur, Dr. Humayun Khan Khattak, conducted detailed visits to several government Primary schools across the subdivision, reviewing teacher attendance, cleanliness, plantation efforts, enrollment drives, and available facilities.

According to details, the schools inspected included GPS Dahotar Jadeed, GPS Thatta Balochan, GPS Lodhran, GPS Dhap Shumali, GPS Lang Khair Shah, Niazi Abad Thatthal, GPS Qazi Khokhar, and GPS Mubarak Shah.

During the visits, the officer closely monitored teachers’ attendance and overall discipline. He directed the staff to ensure regular attendance and to perform their teaching responsibilities with dedication and honesty.

The cleanliness situation in all schools was also reviewed. While some schools were found satisfactory, immediate instructions were issued wherever improvements were needed. Teachers and school administrations were urged to maintain a clean and healthy environment to support effective learning.

A plantation campaign was formally launched at GPS Dahotar Jadeed, where a tree was planted to promote environmental awareness among students.

As part of the ongoing enrollment drive, the SDEO also enrolled a new student at the same school, emphasizing the importance of bringing more children into the education system. Teachers were instructed to take proactive steps to increase admissions.

The SDEO took notice of the shortage of furniture, particularly chairs and tables for teachers, and directed the authorities concerned to ensure timely provision of quality furniture. He also issued instructions for immediate repair work through PTC funds in schools where solar panel batteries were faulty or washroom conditions were unsatisfactory.

Furthermore, teachers were advised to effectively utilize available teaching materials, charts, and other educational resources.

Special directions were also given to activate Early Childhood Care (ECC) rooms and ensure they are fully utilized, so that young children can benefit from improved early education facilities.
