QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) On special directive of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) Babar Khan reviewed the progress of the Chaman Phatak to Koila Phatak road project.
On this occasion, Chief Engineer E&M Works Division Mehrullah Jogezai, Chief Engineer Quetta Zone Abdul Rahim Bangulzai, SE Quetta City Roads Azhar Jan and Chief Architect Dr. Sohrab Marri, besides other relevant officials, were also present.
During the visit, Chief Engineer E&M Works Division Mehrullah Jogezai gave a briefing and said that the project has entered its final stages of completion and soon this project would be completed 100 percent.
Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) Babar Khan gave instructions on this occasion that all the work of the final stages of the project should be completed within a week.
He said that the three points of the project, Koila Phatak, Pishin Stop and Chaman Phatak areas should be further expanded so that the densely populated areas of the city to be connected, the traffic flow should be improved in the area.
The Secretary further said that special care should be taken regarding the quality of the said project and no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.
He said that development and prosperity depend on the good performance of the Department of Communications and Works and this best performance would be achieved when these projects are completed even before the scheduled time.
Babar Khan further stated that the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has also given the same instructions that this project should be completed as soon as possible so that the people get rid of the traffic problems and the population of the city would not face any difficulty in reaching their destinations.
