Secretary sports visits injured Karate player Arzoo

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) On the instructions of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Secretary sports Balochistan Durra Baloch visited Aria Hospital to inquire after national karate player Arzoo Haider Ali, who was currently under treatment after sustaining serious injuries in a road accident.

During the visit, the Secretary met with the player’s family, assured them of full support for medical treatment, and prayed for her speedy recovery, said a news release. He emphasized that the provincial government’s Sports Department was extending all possible assistance and maintaining close contact with the family to ensure Arzoo receives the best care.

According to hospital sources, Arzoo was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit with a severe head injury and her condition remains critical. She was on her way to participate in a Karate Championship at Ayub Sports Complex on Saturday when she was involved in a traffic accident.

Officials reiterated that the government was committed to supporting athletes and would continue to provide necessary facilities and assistance to ensure their welfare.
