Section 144 imposed around exam centers for SSC exams in Hyderabad division

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi has imposed section 144 around all examination centers across the division during the annual Secondary school Certificate (SSC) Part I and II examinations 2026.

According to an official notification issued on the request of the board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) Hyderabad, the restrictions will remain in force from April 7 to April 17, 2026 to ensure a peaceful, transparent and fair examination process.

Under the notification, examination centers have been declared restricted areas during exam hours.

Only candidates possessing valid admit cards will be allowed entry, along with authorized examination staff. The use of photocopy machines near examination centers has also been banned during exam hours to prevent cheating and other irregularities.

The notification further authorizes police inspectors or officers of higher rank at relevant police stations to take action under section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against violators of section 144.
