Section 144 imposed in Karachi during SSC exams

KARACHI: The Karachi Commissioner Office has imposed Section 144 across Karachi during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, effective from April 7 to May 2, to ensure a smooth and secure conduct of exams.

According to the notification issued by Commissioner Syed Hasan Naqvi: entry of unauthorized individuals within 200 yards of examination centers is strictly prohibited.

Only students with admit cards and examination staff will be allowed inside the centers. All forms of gatherings around examination centers are banned.

Similarly, use of photocopy machines is prohibited. Display of weapons and use of mobile phones are forbidden. Strict measures have been implemented to prevent cheating.

The violators will face legal action, with police authorized to register cases under Section 144.
