Security tightened in markets ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) In view of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, city police have intensified security measures across the city.

According to the police spokesman, additional personnel have been deployed in busy markets, key roads, and public places to ensure the safety of citizens.

On the instructions of the DPO, patrolling and checking operations have been increased in various areas under the supervision of the SP City Division, DSP City, and SHO City.

With shopping activity rising during the last days of Ramazan, he added, special focus was being given to maintaining security in crowded marketplaces.

Police officials said that measures had also been taken to improve traffic flow, while personnel remain active to manage crowds and promptly address public concerns.

They said it was the police’s top priority to provide a peaceful and secure environment to citizens during Eid.

In this regard, they say all available resources are being utilized.
