Senate Sub-Committee formed to review administrative, development issues of Mazar-e-Quaid

The Senate Standing Committee on National Heritage and Culture has constituted a subcommittee to review administrative and development-related issues concerning the Mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and its adjoining areas, and to propose recommendations for their resolution

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) The Senate Standing Committee on National Heritage and Culture has constituted a subcommittee to review administrative and development-related issues concerning the Mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and its adjoining areas, and to propose recommendations for their resolution.

According to an official notification, the decision was taken during a meeting of the standing committee held on May 18, 2026, in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations.

The subcommittee will be headed by Senator Waqar Mehdi, while Senator Sarmad Ali and Senator Bushra Anjum Butt will serve as its members.

The committee has been tasked with examining various administrative and developmental issues related to Mazar-e-Quaid and the surrounding area in Karachi and formulating recommendations to address them.

Under the notification, the subcommittee is required to submit its report to the standing committee within 60 days of its first meeting.

The Senate Secretariat has requested all relevant institutions and authorities to extend full cooperation to the subcommittee to ensure the timely completion of its assigned task.
