Senior Traffic Warden dies in road accident, CTO Lahore offers condolences

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) A senior traffic warden of the City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) lost his life in a road accident while on his way to duty on Sunday.

Senior Traffic Warden Ghulam Hussain, a resident of Narang Mandi and posted in Traffic Sector McLeod Road, was travelling in a coaster bus to his duty point when the vehicle met with an accident on Kala Khatai Road.

According to reports, the coaster overturned while attempting to overtake another vehicle, leaving him critically injured. He was shifted to Mayo Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi reached Mayo Hospital and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

The CTO directed the welfare team to make immediate arrangements and extend all possible support to the family of the deceased. He said traffic wardens were like members of one family and affirmed that the department stood by the bereaved family in this difficult time and shared their grief.
