SFA, Assistant Commissioners inspected milk shops

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Following public complaints regarding chemical adulteration in milk within the Kashmore district, the Sindh Food Authority's (SFA) mobile laboratory team, along with Assistant Commissioner (AC) Kashmore, Shahrukh and AC Tangwani, Dr. Ali Raza Bozdar, conducted raids in Kandhkot, Kashmore, Tangwani city, and surrounding areas here on Thursday.

The raids were conducted on the directives of Director General Sindh Food Authority, Shahzad Fazal Abbasi, and Deputy Commissioner Kashmore at Kandhkot, Agha Sher Zaman.

According to details, based on public complaints about chemical milk, under the special instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Kashmore, the Sindh Food Authority mobile laboratory team, led by the Assistant Commissioners of Kashmore and Tangwani, inspected various food units in Tangwani and Kashmore talukas.

The purpose of the visits were to review compliance of food safety standards and ensure the provision of safe and standard food to the public.

During the inspection at Dastgir Malik Shop in Kashmore taluka, a fine of Rs. 10,000 was imposed mixing water in milk. Food items and cleanliness were also assessed. Due to violations of personal hygiene and food safety Standard Operating Procedures, and founding the evidence of detergent in food items at United Bakers, a fine of Rs. 50,000 was imposed, and immediate directives for improvements were issued.

Meanwhile, during the inspection in Tangwani Taluka, a notice for improvement was issued to Bhaglani Dairy Shop and a license challan were issued to Anees Dairy and Nadir Dairy.
