Sindh Agriculture Extension intensifies seed inspection drive to ensure supply of quality seeds

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jul, 2026) The Sindh Agriculture Extension Department has intensified its seed inspection campaign across the province to ensure the availability of quality seeds for farmers.

According to a statement issued by the department's media focal person on Wednesday, the Federal Seed Certification Department, in collaboration with the Sindh Agriculture Extension Department, is making concerted efforts to provide certified and high quality seeds to growers. Officials are carrying out seed sampling in all districts of the province as part of the inspection process.

The seed inspections are being conducted rigorously during the Kharif season. Director General Agriculture Extension Sindh Allah Warayo Rind has directed all district officers to expedite the seed inspection campaign by utilizing all available resources, collecting seed samples and sending them to laboratories for testing.

The Additional Director Agriculture Extension, Badin has taken serious notice of rice seed quality and instructed all inspectors in the district to collect samples of rice and other crop seeds and submit them to laboratories for analysis.
