LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) The district administration demolished six illegal buildings and sealed eight properties during a grand crackdown against unlawful constructions carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ejaz.

The operation was conducted in multiple areas, including Shalimar Zone, Iqbal Town, Raiwind Road, and Multan Road, where teams took decisive action against structures built without approval and in violation of building bylaws.

According to a spokesperson, strict enforcement measures were ordered against all unauthorized constructions, particularly those developed without approved building plans or maps. The DC directed field teams to ensure immediate demolition of such structures and to maintain zero tolerance against violations of construction regulations.

He further instructed that developers must strictly adhere to approved building plans, warning that any deviation would not be tolerated. The administration has also intensified action against illegal commercial constructions, emphasizing indiscriminate enforcement across the city.

DC Muhammad Ali Ejaz said that the ongoing crackdown aims to ensure implementation of building bylaws and to restore order in urban development. He said efforts are underway to transform Lahore into a well-organized and aesthetically improved city.
