Six Vietnamese nationals deported over suspicious documents

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Immigration authorities at Lahore Airport on Wednesday denied entry to six Vietnamese nationals and deported them after their travel documents were found suspicious and their visit purpose could not be verified,raising concerns of possible involvement in organized scamming networks.

The spokesperson for FIA said the passengers,who had arrived on visit visas,presented hotel bookings that were later found to be fake.

The individuals were also unable to clearly state their intended destination,raising further suspicion.

During initial scrutiny,the passengers’ mobile phones were checked on suspicion of involvement with scamming agents. Authorities found that all chat histories had been deleted from the devices.

Further investigation revealed that the travelers had only a single travel record to Cambodia,which added to concerns regarding the authenticity of their travel purpose.

Taking timely action,immigration officials offloaded and deported the suspicious passengers to their country of origin,the spokesperson added.
