Solid measures afoot to ensure enforcement of energy-saving measures

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) The district administration on Thursday intensified inspections in commercial areas to ensure implementation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s temporary power-saving measures.

Officials are conducting regular visits to bazaars, markets, shopping plazas, restaurants, and wedding halls to ensure businesses close according to the prescribed timings.

A strict ban has also been imposed on unnecessary lighting.

According to the administration, all assistant commissioners have been directed to remain in the field on a daily basis to monitor compliance with government directives.

The district administration has appealed to people and the business community to cooperate fully with the energy-saving campaign and adhere to the guidelines to help address the power crisis.
