SPAL deploys 1100 workers,110 vehicles in Shalimar Town

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore(SPAL) sanitation teams remained actively engaged across the city to ensure uninterrupted cleanliness operations as part of an ongoing phased zero-waste drive,here on Friday.

A comprehensive waste clearance operation was successfully carried out in Shalimar Town,where over 1100 workers and 110 operational vehicles participated in special cleanliness activities.

The zero-waste drive was being implemented in phases across Lahore to maintain an efficient sanitation system.

Under special arrangements,key waste points including Fazal Pura Waste Enclosure and the China Scheme temporary collection point were being cleared on a daily basis.

Director General(DG) Suthra Punjab Authority,Babar Sahib Din stated that 6 identified hotspot areas in Shalimar Town have been completely cleared through targeted sanitation measures.

He added that 190 loader rickshaws have been deployed to ensure door-to-door waste collection in the town.

The cleaning operation covered several areas,including Neelam Cinema Commercial Market,Kotli Pir Abdul Rehman,Jameel Park, Ali Park,Bhogiwal Road,Shalimar Link Road,Jani Pura and areas around Muhammad Ali Marriage Hall.
