- SPAL made comprehensive cleanliness arrangements at Gaddafi Stadium ahead of PSL 11 matches

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) ensured comprehensive cleanliness arrangements at Gaddafi Stadium ahead of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 matches, including the grand final between Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kings.
According to a press release issued here on Sunday, the arrangements were put in place under the directives of Suthra Punjab Authority DG Babar Sahib Din.
Sanitation teams conducted extensive cleaning and washing operations at the stadium and its surrounding areas prior to the final match.
More than 250 sanitation workers with eight washer vehicles were deployed during the matches to ensure uninterrupted cleanliness operations. Each enclosure inside the stadium was assigned 15 workers along with a supervisor to monitor and maintain cleanliness standards.
Additionally, over 50 workers were tasked with cleaning the surrounding areas and parking zones before every match, while more than 200 workers and 15 supervisors performed duties inside the stadium during match hours.
Two water bowsers were also engaged to sprinkle water around the stadium premises to control dust.
Mechanical sweepers were used to clear all routes leading to and from the stadium, ensuring smooth access for spectators.
According to SPAL officials, Gaddafi Stadium was declared a “zero-waste zone” during the grand cricket event. DG Babar Sahib Din stated that the sanitation teams remained fully committed to providing the best possible cleanliness facilities to cricket fans throughout the matches.
