Special cleanup campaign launched in Makeen for Eid-ul-Azha

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) The district administration South Waziristan Upper is taking effective steps to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

In this regard on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Asmatullah Wazir and under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Ladha Shadman Safi, a special bags distribution campaign has been launched in Tehsil Makeen.

According to the district administration, the Naib Tehsildar Makeen, along with the municipal administration team, visited various areas of the tehsil and distributed shopper bags among residents.

The initiative aims to ensure the proper disposal of animal waste and sacrificial remains in order to prevent environmental pollution and unhealthy conditions.

The district and municipal administrations appealed to the public to fully cooperate in the cleanliness campaign and dispose of sacrificial waste in designated places or in the provided shopper bags so that the area remains clean, safe, and pleasant during Eid-ul-Azha.

The administration of South Waziristan Upper also reaffirmed its commitment to utilizing all available resources for public welfare, public health, and the promotion of a clean environment.
