Speeding tanker kills child, injures 3 siblings on Manghopir Ijtema Gah road

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) A child was killed and three siblings were injured after a speeding tanker ran them over on Manghopir Ijtema Gah road in Karachi on Saturday.

According to rescue officials, four children were on their way to school when a speeding tanker hit them near Manghopir Ijtema Gah where one child was killed on the spot, while three siblings were injured in the tragic incident, private media channel reported.

Rescue officials said the impact left the children critically injured, prompting an immediate emergency

response. Rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the injured siblings identified as Fatima, Abdullah and Sharjeel to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The tanker driver fled the scene following the accident. Police have launched an investigation and are making efforts to trace the driver and the vehicle involved in the incident.
