SSP Operations orders immediate relief for citizens during open court

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) SSP Operations Imran Ahmad Malik has directed police officers to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints and warned that injustice or unnecessary delays in addressing citizens' grievances would not be tolerated at all.

He issued the directives while presiding over an open court (Khuli Katchery) at his office where the citizens presented their complaints, applications and policing-related issues for resolution.

Incharge Complaint Cell and other police officers were also present on the occasion and they assisted in reviewing the cases and recording public grievances.

During open court, SSP Operations listened to citizens individually and conducted a detailed review of the complaints and applications submitted by them.

He issued on-spot instructions to relevant officers to ensure immediate action and provide timely relief to the complainants.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Imran Ahmad Malik said that Primary objective of holding open courts was to ensure timely justice, transparent proceedings and effective relief for the public.

He emphasized that police officers must remain accessible to citizens and respond promptly to their concerns.

He said that resolving public issues without delay, providing relief to aggrieved citizens and strengthening public confidence in the police force were among the department’s foremost priorities.

He stressed that citizens should not face any form of injustice, harassment or unnecessary procedural delays in obtaining their lawful rights.

He directed all concerned officers to handle complaints strictly on merit and in accordance with legal requirements.

He further instructed officers to ensure transparency, fairness and professionalism while dealing with public applications and complaints, adding that accountability and public service remained the cornerstone of effective policing.

The open court concluded with directions for the early disposal of pending complaints and follow-up action on issues raised by citizens during the session.
