Suspect involved in murder of brother held

LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Police claimed to have arrested the main suspect involved in the murder of his brother following a minor financial dispute in limits of Qureshi Wala police station.

According to police sources, the incident occurred after a disagreement between two brothers, identified as Sadiq and Khadim, over a monetary matter. The verbal altercation escalated into a violent confrontation.

Approximately fifteen days ago, the suspect Sadiq, in a fit of rage, allegedly attacked his brother Khadim with an axe, resulting in his death on the spot.

The accused fled the scene after committing the crime.

Police, utilizing modern investigative techniques and multiple sources, tracked and arrested the prime suspect. Further investigation was underway.

District Police Officer Captain (R) Ali Bin Tariq, stated that ensuring the safety of citizens' lives and properties was top priority, adding that no one will be allowed to take the law into their hands.
