Suspect killed in encounter

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) A suspect was killed allegedly by the firing of his own

accomplices during an encounter with police in Hasilpur area.

Police said on Sunday that suspects were riding a motorcycle

when police signalled them to stop at a picket when they

opened fire at the police.

During the cross firing, one of the

suspects identified as Rehan Naveed (27) son of Faisal Naveed,

a resident of Chak 65/F Hasilpur received bullets by the firing

of his own accomplices and he died on the spot.

Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, shifted the body

to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
