Suthra Punjab staff remains active during Eid as cleanliness operation continues

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Sanitation staff of the Suthra Punjab agency remained active across Faisalabad on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha as an extensive cleanliness operation continued for the timely removal and disposal of sacrificial animal waste and offal,here on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner(DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir visited various localities,including Ghulam Muhammad Abad, Samanabad and Canal Road to review sanitation arrangements and monitor ongoing cleanliness operations during Eid days.

Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency,Abid Hussain Bhatti and Assistant Commissioner City Adil Umar also accompanied the deputy commissioner during the visit.

The DC inspected the process of lifting sacrificial waste from different areas and reviewed arrangements made for maintaining cleanliness in urban localities.

He also visited collection points and union councils to examine the transportation and disposal mechanism for waste being shifted to designated dumping sites.

Officials briefed the deputy commissioner on the operational strategy,deployment of sanitation staff, availability of machinery and measures adopted for prompt disposal of offal during Eid-ul-Azha.

Speaking on the occasion,Nadeem Nasir said ensuring a clean and healthy environment for citizens remained the top priority of the district administration and all departments concerned were working round the clock to maintain effective sanitation arrangements during Eid holidays.

He directed sanitation teams to remain fully alert and ensure immediate removal of waste from streets, roads, markets and residential areas to avoid inconvenience for citizens.

The deputy commissioner appreciated the performance of field staff and said continuous monitoring was being carried out to maintain cleanliness standards across the city.

MD Suthra Punjab Agency Abid Hussain Bhatti said all available resources, including machinery, vehicles and manpower, were being utilized to make the cleanliness operation more effective and successful.

He added that special teams had been deployed in different zones of the city to ensure timely lifting of animal waste and maintain hygienic conditions during Eid-ul-Azha.

Citizens also appreciated the visible sanitation efforts in various localities and expressed hope that cleanliness arrangements would continue effectively throughout the Eid holidays.
