Tank Police hold public liaison meetings to strengthen community policing

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) On the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Tank, Abdul Samad, public liaison committee meetings were held at various police stations across the district, including City Police Station, Mulazai Police Station, and Shaheed Mureed Akbar Police Station.

The meetings were conducted under the supervision of concerned DSPs and SHOs, with participation from committee members and local elders.

Discussions focused on enhancing coordination between police and the public, promoting community policing, preventing crime, and devising a joint strategy to ensure sustainable peace in the area.

Special emphasis was laid on strengthening mutual cooperation in view of the prevailing security situation.

Participants highlighted the importance of timely identification of suspicious individuals and activities, and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order.

SHOs on the occasion reiterated their resolve to further improve engagement with community representatives under the framework of community policing and to work collectively towards the eradication of crime.
